Board and Staff Information
Patty McNussen

Dr. McNussen is the acting board chair of CCCHC. She was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and has been a Neuro-Ophthalmologist at Carle since 1991. She received her MD at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed her Neurology residency and Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Iowa. Patty is the Executive Board of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. She has been on the board of CCCHC since the start of the clinic. She is also actively involved in her church, New Covenant Fellowship.
Barbara Pritchard

Barbara Pritchard is the secretary of the CCCHC board and holds a BS and MBA from the U of I at Urbana-Champaign. Barb retired from PACE, Inc. in 2002. She continues focusing on disability-centered advocacy on the local, state, and national levels. Barb serves on 20 different boards and committees, including the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities and Champaign County Healthcare Consumers.
Thomas Koeler

Dr. Koehler grew up in Champaign and has been a Respiratory Therapist for 23 years at Provena. Family Practice MD for 7 years. Works at student health and is also a Danville VA. Musician. He currently volunteers as a provider at Champaign County Christian Health Center.
Terrance Thomas

Reverend Terrance Thomas began his journey into ministry in 2014. In 2017, he was ordained Itinerant Deacon and appointed Pastor of the Unity Temple AME Church. Thomas served as a founding member of the Social Justice Initiative at Philander Smith College. His involvement at the Annual Black Studies Conference in conjunction with the Black Studies Department at Olive Harvey College led him to convene and work closely with his intellectual father, Mr. Armstead Allen, and other elite black scholars, thinkers, and social activists. This community work gives him an inside experience into academia and culture. He earned an undergraduate degree in Inner City Studies with a minor in Sociology from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary with a concentration in African American Church Leadership. Rev Thomas is the pastor of Bethel AME Church in Champaign and is proud to provide Pastoral Care to his flock, both in the physical temple and the community, as they journey through the various seasons of life.
Jeffrey Trask

Dr. Trask is the Founder and Advisor of Champaign County Christian Health Center. He holds a PhD in Community Health with a specialization in health policy from UIUC, a master’s degree in Education Administration from EIU, and has served on the board of the Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics for the past few years. He teaches at Benedictine University in Lisle, Il .and handles all fundraising, finance, legal, and tax. He also works as the Fund Development Director at CCCHC.
Louise Gibson

Louise Knight-Gibson is a dedicated healthcare professional currently serving as the Director of Fund Development and Clinic Director for CCCHC. With a deep-rooted passion for health equity, Louise has committed her career to advancing access to quality healthcare for underserved populations. Her dual role allows her to not only secure essential funding for the clinic's initiatives but also to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that patients receive compassionate and equitable care.
